Managed to get my hands on the Hitman beta last weekend for the PS4 and spent many more hours in it than I expected. It only features the first two training levels from the game, after all, and you probably could run through them both in an hour. They’re really emphasizing the fun of taking multiple paths to your target in this game, however, and after turning it off I kept thinking back about what other methods I could have tried. I kept booting it up to unlock all the Challenges. It bodes well for the game’s release next month!

The benefits of writing about horror
I feel like the PR folks for horror movies and games have the best time, although I guess it depends on how sadistic they are. I’ve just counted it up, and it’s now been four times that I’ve received strange unmarked packages in the mail that were covered in blood. One was literally leaking blood- for Hostel I was sent a bloody steak that soaked through the box and dripped blood all over my apartment. Always wondered what my landlord thought of that…
Anyway, the latest wonderful surprise package was for the upcoming Layers of Fear and it’s another doozy. This wooden box is full of all sorts of creepy stuff – body parts, mousetraps, children’s artwork- which definitely sets the tone for the game. Gotta love it.
This art all appears in the game, which makes me so happy that it’s now in my home as well…
Three vials contained various non-standard art tools.
Wrapped up in the black package was this lenticular picture, that changes nicely if you turn it side to side.
